Baa Atoll is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, known for its reefs and for the manta rays that gather at Hanifaru Bay in season. It is a place for doing very little, very well.

Your own stretch of lagoon, reef a few strokes from the steps, and nothing on the horizon.

Season: The northeast monsoon months, roughly December to April, are usually drier. The southwest monsoon brings more rain, and it is also the manta season in Baa Atoll. Best months: December, January, February, March, April.
