- Seasons
- The northeast monsoon months, roughly December to April, are usually drier. The southwest monsoon brings more rain, and it is also the manta season in Baa Atoll.
- Arrive
- Velana International, Malé (MLE). Resorts arrange seaplane transfers from Malé, and seaplanes fly only in daylight. Some atolls are reached by domestic flight and speedboat instead.
- Getting around
- There are no roads between island resorts. The journey is by seaplane or boat.

Land softly
Take the seaplane from Malé, then spend the rest of the day between the villa and the lagoon.
The house reef
Snorkel the reef with a guide in the morning. Rest through the heat, then take a boat out at sunset.

In season, ask about regulated visits to Hanifaru Bay for the mantas. Otherwise, take a picnic to a sandbank.
